SPEED WEEK STANDINGS
Speed Week is a series of seven races in seven southeastern cities that begins in Athens, Georgia and ends with the finale in Sandy Springs. Nationally-ranked athletes will take to the streets to contest Speed Week, the richest week of criterium racing in the U.S. with $125,000 in prize money.
Once again, the Terrapin Twilight Criterium in downtown Athens, GA kicks off the week-long series of seven races over nine days. These downtown areas are transformed into international cycling competition arenas from April 27 – May 5, 2013. In addition to the Terrapin Twilight, returning to the series are the annual events in Roswell and Sandy Springs in Georgia, as well as Walterboro and Spartanburg in South Carolina. Two new events have been added to this year’s calendar in the cities of Tybee Island, Georgia and Belmont, North Carolina.
